Halloween Party Games round-up

It's that time of year when all the scary and spoooky goblins get together and party like its going out of fashion. I love a good party and nothing makes a good party better than party games and activities. We're having a little get together on Halloween night with bonfire sparklers and we might even get to see some fireworks.

I've rounded some of favourite games and activities that I like to do and a few new ones to try on the night like the bowling games. I love the sweet twist on the hanging apple game. Who doesn't love donuts, right?

All the links are just below the picture.

And because I LOVE carving pumpkins here is my top carving tips post for those of you that haven't seen it yet. We'll be carving ours over the weekend and enjoy them over the midterm break.

What are you favourite party games? Don't be shy! let me know in the comments or find me on Instagram and let me know there. I kinda LOVE instagram, just a little.

Eve's pudding {Recipe}

Today I'm sharing one of my favourite dessert recipes with you. It is the yummiest and easiest dessert you will ever make.

Now it is not very good for your waste line if you have it every week but for special occasions you can't go wrong with this little beauty. It's the dish I carry to all the parties and I never have any left over.

Ingredients
4 cooking apples
sugar
100g butter
100g sugar
150g flour
2 eggs

Peel and slice you apples and sprinkle them with sugar. I never measure this sugar. I just put enough to coat the apples and make them sweet.
Next, cream your sugar and butter until pale and creamy. Add your flour and eggs bit by bit unitl all combined. Add a drop of milk if the mixture is dry.
Spread the mixture over the apples and sprinkle more sugar over the top. This will give a nice crunch to the top when it's cooked.
Cook at 180c for 40 minutes.
Serve warm with cream or custard. Or whatever why you like it.
Trust me when I say this will go fast so get in there first for your helping.

I'll be making this for Christmas day. I can't wait.

Happy Eating!!

How to... Balloon animals.

For entertainment for my daughters birthday party I wanted something that people would remember. Something that not everyone would have at their parties. But it also had to be affordable ( I was on a budget).

I found this amazing pack of balloons to make balloon animals but I have a huge phobia of balloons bursting. I know! Your thinking that I'm crazy for sure. But I swear, if I see one of the kids squeezing a balloon it send me into a panic. Maybe I am a little crazy.

Any way, back to this pack I found. I thought I would never be able to do those. But then I saw the instructions.

They were the easiest things to make ever. Not only did I rock with the kids but the Mom's wanted to know how to do it. One even wants me to make them for her kids party.

So here it is. For all you Moms and Dads would wanna rock at your parties.

Sorry for the wonky photography. And I'm pretty sure that you can get those balloons in most joke shops.
I'm going out to buy some more of these for over Christmas.

I would love to see your animals if you ever make any. Leave a link in the comment section so I can have a peek.

Happy Hump day!!

Tangled Birthday Bash : Hey, That's Pin-tastic!

Linking up today for Hey, That's Pin-tastic! over at I love you more than carrots. An amazing link-up where you make, make, create or decorate something you have pinned on Pinterest.
Today I'm talking about my Tangled Birthday Bash

This past week in our house has been a big week. My daughter turned 5!
She wanted to have a Tangled birthday party and where do you go when you need inspiration... Pinterest.

I found loads of ideas on how to do a Tangled party and make her birthday, In her words, "best party ever". I also wanted to spend as little money as possible (i'm trying to be frugal not cheap) but make it fab at the same time. I think I succeeded.

I'll be doing more posts on the birthday this week so check back if your looking for some cheap and cute ideas.

For now here are some photos of the Birthday bash.

I have to thank Molly over at Stilettos and Diapers for the idea of the photo props. Check out her little man Mustache Bash here. You can find the links for the props I used here and here.

Found this guy on Google images and printed it off.

I found a printable for these gorgeous cupcake toppers here. I also used them to match up the party hats too. Just printed them on card and cut them out.

Marshmallow trees. Cute and yummy!!

These are water balloons that i sowed together. She got such a surprise after school when she saw these.

My masterpiece of a cake. I made it! I even shocked myself at how good it turned out.

Happy Birthday Princess!! Love you.

If there is anything you want to know about anything you saw in the post, let me know. Just leave a comment and I'll give you the details.

Don't forget to check back over the coming week where I will be showing you how I made the backdrop and the bunting.

Happy Pinning!!

Halloween

This has been the best Halloween ever since Jasmin was born. She really got into the swing of things this year. Love dressing up! She decided to go as a witch. thought she would never make up her mind. Little man went as Dracula. I was a witch. My mother was a witch and my sister went as Wednesday Addams.
It was our turn to host the Neighborhood Halloween Party.

Here's what happened. I'll let the pictures do the talking from here.

Oh, almost forgot to tell you all. Because I did such an amazing job (not my words) of decorating and organizing the party, I have been hired to do it all again next year for one of the neighbors. Can you say excited.

Until next year.
