Crafty Creations : Homemade bath paint.

I made these for Jasmin before she went back to school and she loved it. Easiest thing ever and I'm pretty sure you have all you need to make this in the press already.

All you need:

Cornflour
Water
Food coloring
Paint brushes

Mix some cornflour with some water. I didn't measure anything. Just keeping adding the water bit by bit until you get the consistency you want.

Divide it into different containers and add a few drops of food coloring.

And there you have it.

She spent at least 30 minutes playing with this stuff before both her and the bath got a good showering.
She even did the clean up.

Now she wants to do it every night.

Happy crafting!!

Show and tell Monday : Let's talk babies.

Today I'm linking up with Becky over at From mrs to mama for show and tell Monday.
First time I've linked up with her so here goes.

1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)
Of course my favourites are my kids names, Jasmin and Patrick but others i like are for girls I like Lillie, Ruby and Leah. And for boys I'm liking Caleb, David and Ollie.

2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}

3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
I have 2 kiddos. A nearly 5 year old girl (OMG) and an 8 month boy. I love the idea of a big family but I don't know if my brain could handle a house full of kids. Maybe one more. Not sure how soon though.

4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
To be there for your child. To let them know that no matter what they do, good, bad or other, You will always love them. Maybe not like what they are doing but always love them.

5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}
I love Ella bella photography and the may she poses babies in her photos. This is one of my favorites.

All her newborn photos are my favorites.

6.  Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you stick to it}
Just to be there for my children. To make every day a little bit special. And to do my best every day. Some days I'm a rock star mom and do everything right but some days I fail. But I try not to beat my self up. Being a mother is the hardest but most rewarding job in the world.

Thanks for reading.

Jewelry making. One of my many passions

I got the bug again today.
Hasn't happened in a while.

The jewelry bug that is.

I started making jewelry when I was a child. I must have been about 10 years old. Santa brought my a bead kit and some other supply's and I was hooked.
I love it.
I make everything!
Earrings, bracelets and chains.
Haven't made rings yet. Must try that soon.

Any who, here's what I made today.
( sorry about the crappy photos. was in a rush)

So that's what I got up to today, In between doing a school run, changing nappies, feeding kids and cleaning the house for our guest the weekend.

What do ya think??
Next mission : Make something to show off and store my lovely creations.

Tomorrows FRIDAY. WOO HOO!!

Wordful Wednesday : Am I doing a good job??

When I was pregnant, I hoped that I would manage to raise (with the help of  the hubs of course) a well rounded, independent child that can take whatever life threw at them and deal with it.

As my daughter grew up I wondered...
Was i doing a good job?
Am I making the right choices?
Am I being too tough/ too soft on her?

I wonder does every mother ask themselves these questions?
Why are we so hard on ourselves?

Then Monday came...

My little pig was starting big school!

How would she cope?
Would she get picked on?
Would they make fun of her hand?
(My daughter was born with part of her left hand missing)

Then she showed me that I had nothing to worry about.
She got up at 6.30am and was all excited for school.
I finally managed to get her back to sleep until 8am.

Up she got.
Put on her uniform and not a care in the world.
(This is going good I thought)

Went to nana's to take some pics.

Landed at school and walked her in to the class.

Loads of moms and dads everywhere.
(a bit crazy)

Gave her a kiss and off I went.
Not a tear.
Nothing.

So proud of her!!

Three days on and she tells me she doesn't need me to walk her to the classroom anymore.
Guess we haven't done a bad job after all.

I'm linking up with Seven clown circus and Stacy Uncorked today.

Happy Hump day everyone!!

Cupcakes {Recipe}

I made these cupcakes for Jasmin, on a surprise night for her the week before she went back to school.

You can see what she got up to in this post.

Anyway this is the recipe for my Cupcakes.

150g flour
100g butter
100g caster sugar
2 eggs
a splash of milk (if the mix is dry)

How to:
Cream the butter and the sugar together until soft and creamy.
Add the eggs and flour bit by bit until it's all combined together.
Spoon into your cupcakes liners and bake at 200c for 15 minutes.
This makes about 12 nice sized cupcakes.

Tip: dip you spoons in cold water and it will stop the mix from sticking and make your life easier.

And there you have it.

Go make a batch now.
They're Yummy!!
